Branded Content Writer

Summary

Join Axios, a modern media company, as a Branded Content Writer for the Axios Local Studio team! You will create engaging branded content for advertising partners, working collaboratively with editors and the revenue team. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, the ability to meet daily deadlines, and comfort with live interviews. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for thought leadership and storytelling, and experience in branded or editorial content creation. This is a remote-optional position with a salary range of $52,000-$88,000, dependent on location and experience.

Requirements

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to hit daily deadlines
• Ability to work well on teams
• Writing experience in a branded or editorial capacity
• Passion for thought leadership and storytelling on behalf of brands
• Demonstrated ability to research and brainstorm themes and messaging to align with client’s messaging goals, including advocacy, thought leadership and brand marketing campaigns
• Comfort with live interviews to assist in the creation and production of branded content
• Familiarity working on small creative teams to create client-driven materials

Responsibilities

• Develop branded content for Axios’ advertising partners across Axios Local
• Work with the Local Editor and all members of the revenue team to build and maintain thought leadership campaigns for Axios’ brand partners in our trademark Smart Brevity style
• Create native branded content that appears on the Axios website, in our newsletters, on our social media and at our events
• Craft original sponsored content
• Conduct research for content topics across a wide range of brands
