Business Analyst

Summary

Join BenchSci's Customer Insights and Value team as a Business Analyst co-op for an 8-month term. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you will analyze pharmaceutical R&D spending, develop data-driven insights, and support customer relationships. This co-op offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to business cases, refine metrics and dashboards, become a knowledge expert on R&D spending, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in the Master’s degree program focused on Life Science
• Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret complex datasets
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Analyze pharmaceutical R&D spending data to build compelling business cases and quantify BenchSci’s value to prospective and existing customers
• Develop and refine research spend-related metrics, datasets, and dashboards to support customer-facing business reviews with data-driven insights
• Become a knowledge expert on pharmaceutical R&D spending trends and benchmarks, providing key insights to internal teams and external stakeholders
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to leverage pharmaceutical spending insights for account delivery, customer growth, and strategic decision-making
• Assist in forecasting industry benchmarks and reporting insights for business evaluations and planning

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or familiarity with data and visualization tools such as Looker, Salesforce, or Python
