Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Business Development Consultant at Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) to drive growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding product/service categories, and leveraging digital marketing strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, with a focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities for private and/or government sectors
• In-depth knowledge of the sales process and ability to meet target goals, including qualified leads, deals identified, and conversions
• Proven ability to conduct market research, gather competitive intelligence, and provide actionable insights to support sales growth
• Experience with digital marketing strategies, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and AI software for market research
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a customized Target Company Prospect List (TCPL) of approximately 2,500 companies in UNICOR's target sectors using industry-leading datasets and technology
• Utilize AI and Intelligence Software (such as Gazelle) for market research to identify corporate growth signals
• Create and manage a digital marketing strategy to promote UNICOR’s products and services across various platforms, including LinkedIn
• Engage with industry and trade associations, business networking groups, and economic development officials to expand UNICOR’s business opportunities
• Generate high-quality leads and schedule 100-125 meetings annually with qualified prospects
