Requirements
- Hold a bachelorβs degree in mathematics, health informatics, statistics or other related fields
- Have 5-7 years of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a similar role
- Possess sound knowledge of data management systems (Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Domino Data Labs)
- Have strong experience in working with different source systems of data like the EMR, Dynamics 365 platform, Claims platforms and other common healthcare data sources
- Have strong experience in reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alation
- Have experience with analysis tools preferably SAS and SQL
- Have experience using Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn)
- Possess sound knowledge of ETL or ELT frameworks (Extract, Transform/Load or Load/Transform)
- Be able to organize, map, and interpret data through various stages of transformations
- Be able to comprehend sets of data and identify patterns and trends
- Be able to present data as information with graphical/visual aids
- Possess strong communication skills and a keen eye for details
- Have an analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate experience in organizing diverse datasets, including medical records, health insurance claims (medical and pharmacy), prescribing data, patient behavioral data, and public health information
- Effectively extract and integrate data from disparate sources, and efficiently organize that data for analysis
- Create compelling visualizations (e.g., graphs, charts, and dashboards) to clearly communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders such as clinicians, administrators, and executives
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Clinical, Operations, and Finance, to identify their data needs and develop actionable strategies based on analytics
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that highlight key findings, focusing on improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and enhancing operational efficiency
- Perform advanced statistical analyses to uncover trends, correlations, and patterns using techniques such as regression analysis, time series analysis, predictive modeling, and other approaches as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Have familiarity with common healthcare data standards (EDI, HL7)
- Have familiarity with Cloud data concepts (storage, modeling)
- Have familiarity with data governance principles
