Business Technology Consultant

Summary

Join our team as a vCIO / Senior Business Technology Consultant! This hybrid/remote role requires a seasoned IT professional with at least 8 years of experience in IT leadership. You will develop and implement IT strategies aligned with client business objectives, advise on technology investments, manage IT risks and vendors, and ensure compliance. The position demands strong technical expertise, business acumen, and excellent communication skills. Travel to client sites is required twice a week. The salary range is $90,000 - $120,000 annually.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT leadership roles, including experience as a CIO, vCIO, or Senior IT Consultant
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise software solutions
• Ability to align IT strategies with business goals and understand the financial implications of technology decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel to client sites up to two times per week
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the client’s business objectives, ensuring technology supports overall business goals
• Advise clients on technology investments, upgrades, and the adoption of new tools and systems that enhance operational efficiency
• Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, to protect client assets and data
• Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions
• Ensure that all IT operations comply with industry regulations, best practices, and the specific needs of each client
• Assist clients in managing their IT budgets, ensuring that investments deliver maximum return on investment
• Work closely with client’s internal IT teams or manage outsourced IT functions to ensure seamless technology operations
• Regularly meet with clients to review IT performance, address concerns, and discuss future technology needs

Preferred Qualifications

A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISM)
