CAD Technician

Summary

The job description is for a CAD Technician I-II in the Power - CAD team who will perform complex CAD work, quality control reviews, resolve issues with engineers and clients, read client standards and specifications, manage data entry, documents, and report safety issues. The required background includes a High School Graduate or Associate’s Degree, 1-5 years of CAD experience in an engineering or construction discipline, MicroStation and AutoCAD experience, and knowledge of multiple CAD systems is preferred.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Associate’s Degree
• 1 - 5 years of CAD experience in an engineering or construction discipline
• MicroStation and AutoCAD experience required

Responsibilities

• Performing complex CAD work
• Final quality control reviews
• Work with engineers and clients to resolve issues
• Reading and understanding client standards and specifications, other project related documents and meeting their requirements
• Data and document entry into various platforms
• Scanning, copying, and filing documents
• Reporting safety, health, and quality issues to management
• Assist management on special projects as directed

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of multiple CAD systems preferred
• Experience working in a related industry preferred
