Cad Technician

Summary

Join our team as a remote CAD Technician! You will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for gas, water, and electricity connections, creating 'as-laid' drawings for asset value claims, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery. This role requires experience in 2D CAD within electrical and civil disciplines and proficiency in AutoCAD software. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential. You will collaborate with project managers and other team members to resolve issues and ensure high-quality outputs. The position offers remote work flexibility.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a CAD Technician role
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience in 2D CAD within electrical and civil disciplines is essential

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce, and amend detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings throughout the project lifecycle in line with company standards
• Produce ‘as-laid’ drawings from sketches and site reports, ensuring accuracy and resolving dimension or route discrepancies with project managers
• Coordinate with CAD technicians and project stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs
• Communicate with project managers and team members to address and resolve issues related to drawing requirements or claim rejections
• Work through emails and reports to produce timely and accurate drawings
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures, business management systems, and client requirements
• Support the CAD Supervisor and Project/Account Manager with additional tasks as needed
