Camp Laborer

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a remote camp setting
• Previous experience in manual labour, shovelling, snow removal
• Be patient, flexible and adaptable
• Be capable of sustained, intensive physical labour, manual snow removal using shovels, picks and scrapers
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in the Arctic, extreme cold temperatures (-40) and limited visibility at times
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude and a desire to help your team succeed; be motivated, hard-working and able to take directions

Responsibilities

• Shovel snow and manually clear snow to prepare a construction site
• Work outdoors in extreme temperatures for a full 10-hour shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction experience
• 2 years past experience as a Labourer in remote settings
• Level 1 First Aid Certification or equivalent 2-day course
