Summary

Join Veolia Water Tech as their Global Category Leader - Flow, E&I! Based remotely in Europe, you will manage an ~$80M spend portfolio, developing and implementing global procurement strategies for sub-categories. Collaborate with various teams, define category strategies, manage supplier networks, and lead negotiations. Mitigate business risks by building a flexible supply chain and report on market trends and category performance. This role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and solid experience in category/supplier management, purchasing, or related fields. Experience in procurement of flow, electrical, and instrumentation items is essential, along with approximately 30% annual travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or time-served experience
  • Solid experience in Category/Supplier Management, Purchasing, Production Control, Engineering, Product or Project management
  • Experience in procurement of items in Flow, Electrical and Instrumentation Category
  • Ability to travel - estimated to be 30% annually

Responsibilities

  • Define a Global Category Strategy for assigned Categories that drives continuous improvement within the Category and benefits to the business
  • Develop/Manage Preferred Supplier Network and Strategic Suppliers
  • Define Contracting Strategy and lead Supplier Negotiations
  • Drive Cash Improvements across assigned Categories
  • Mitigate Risks to the business by driving a comprehensive strategy that builds a flexible supply chain and ensures continuity of supply
  • Develop Best Cost Country strategy
  • Drive supplier relationship management processes
  • Report to Leadership on Market Trends and Category Performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • General understanding of Direct material categories and water treatment technologies (products and operations)
  • Familiarity with market trends and key suppliers in the relevant Categories
  • Knowledge of Supply base for Valves, Pipes & Fittings, Instruments, Analyzers, RO Pressure vessels
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders and Water Tech senior management
