Summary

Join SanMar as the Manager, Channel Sales (Retail Decorator) and lead a national sales team focused on expanding relationships with large decorators serving major retailers and national events. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of successfully managing and developing a multi-state territory, and taking lead on large or national accounts
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State
  • Possess the ability to sell “service” as a product by leveraging a consultative sales approach
  • Exceptional organization, planning, and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • A high degree of professionalism, integrity, objectivity, and service orientation
  • Must be a leader, enthusiastic, energetic, “sales orientated” and outgoing
  • Have the desire and ability to generate volume and profits
  • Vehicle that is reliable and has the ability to hold: Racks that hold up to 100 samples wrinkle free, Trade show booth, 2-3 cases of catalogs, 2-3 cases of other misc. marketing brochures
  • Travel 25K miles per year
  • Must provide Insurance coverage
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to cover expenses including travel, business entertainment, business expenses for two full weeks at a time
  • Ability to travel including drive, all types of planes (including prop planes), trains, subways, etc
  • Ability to relocate if necessary including finances and credit for housing, rent, etc
  • Ability to work weekends if necessary
  • May be required to travel in adverse weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Manage a national channel group; meet with current channel customers and uncover new opportunities
  • Plan and implement strategies to identify opportunities, penetrate new business, and expand market share
  • Responsible for hiring, developing, and managing a team with strong relationships with retail decorators to the SanMar account base
  • Collaborate with marketing on advertising for channel specific trade associations
  • Manage trade association calendar and attendance
  • Effectively explain and demonstrate SanMar's manufacturing capabilities
  • Work closely with Director of Channel Sales on national programs as well as Inside Sales team members and local Territory Managers on new opportunities
  • Execute proper scheduling, follow up and documentation in Salesforce; coordinate involvement of multiple departments; communicate clear goals and direction
  • Work Regional & National trade shows and National & Regional customer sales meetings (often over weekends)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all policies and standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of sales management or leadership experience is preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience selling or working in the Retail/licensed decorator market is preferred
