Summary
Join our team as a skilled Chemist to develop and refine high-performance automotive and marine detailing products. You will formulate and test ceramic coatings, sealants, and other specialty formulations. This role requires a strong background in chemical formulation, experience with polymers and surfactants, and familiarity with relevant regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Requirements
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in coatings, detailing products, or polymer chemistry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for product formulation and testing
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced environment
- Amenable to work in US timezone
Responsibilities
- Formulate and develop ceramic coatings, sealants, polishes, cleaners, and protective coatings for automotive and marine applications
- Optimize existing formulas for performance, durability, environmental compliance, and cost-effectiveness
- Conduct laboratory testing for adhesion, hardness, chemical resistance, and hydrophobic properties
- Source and evaluate raw materials to enhance product performance and efficiency
- Collaborate with suppliers and R&D teams to incorporate the latest advancements in detailing chemistry
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (EPA, VOC regulations, REACH, etc.)
- Oversee small-scale production and quality control before full-scale manufacturing
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers regarding product use and application
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with nanotechnology, resins, and surfactant systems
- Experience in automotive, marine, or industrial coatings
- Knowledge of hydrophobic and oleophobic technologies for high-performance coatings
- Understanding of VOC regulations and sustainable chemistry
- Has experience in software designed for data acquisition and analysis (e.g., ChemStation, LabSolutions)
- Has experience in virtual lab testing software (e.g., Chemoffice)
