Chief Compliance Officer

Summary

The job is for a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO) at Alpaca, a fast-growing fintech company. The role involves managing the compliance program, overseeing AML and KYC processes, serving as regulatory liaison, conducting training and education, leading audits, managing risk, overseeing vendor management, and preparing reports.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
• Excited about Alpaca’s mission and what we’re building
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance, AML, or a related role within the financial services or cryptocurrency industry
• Extensive knowledge of AML regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC, and FinCEN guidelines
• Proven experience with KYC processes, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices for cryptocurrency operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications
