Join Austin100 as its Executive Director and CEO, leading and expanding this unique organization that convenes influential Austin leaders for off-the-record discussions. You will oversee all aspects of the annual event's planning and execution, manage the organization's finances, and cultivate relationships with high-profile individuals. The role demands a dynamic leader capable of strategic vision and daily operations management within a tight budget. You'll work closely with two founding board members and a supportive outgoing CEO. This position requires a self-motivated individual with event planning experience, technical proficiency in no-code technologies, and a strong ability to build community.
Requirements
- Have experience in event planning and logistics, particularly for high-profile clientele
- Be a self-motivated learner who is willing to become or is technically proficient with no-code technologies (Softr, Airtable, MiniExtensions, Zapier)
- Have a personal affinity for building community
- Be profoundly interpersonal yet able to work alone within your own accountability structure
- Live in Austin, TX and love to work remotely!
Responsibilities
- Lead, curate, and expand Austin100
- Guide the strategic vision and daily operations
- Plan and execute the annual event
- Manage all aspects of the organization
- Oversee and execute all logistics of the annual event and year-round activities
- Ensure seamless execution and an exceptional attendee experience
- Be creative, relentless, and willing to fail quickly and move on to new solutions
- Use no-code technologies such as Softr, Airtable, MiniExtensions, and Zapier for technical backend tasks
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, accounting, cash flow management, revenue strategy, and future strategy in partnership with our fiscal sponsor
- Execute the strategic vision in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Engage and enroll Austin's busiest leaders in ways that incite participation
- Identify and facilitate meaningful connections across Austin leaders
- Manage relationships with discernment across diverse ideologies and personalities
- Exhibit a high level of discretion with sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality and trust

- Have helped organizations stabilize cash flow
- Love moving from the trees to the forest and everything in between in your work. I.e., you love the nitty-gritty details while simultaneously holding a strategic vision
- Love networking-type events - galas, fundraisers, happy hours- places where you meet people in unstructured ways
- Be humble and see all people as simply that - a person with a life story, without pedestalizing or devaluing them
