Summary
Join Decentralized Masters as their Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a pivotal role in shaping their financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial sustainability as they scale globally. Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of the leadership team driving operational excellence and ambitious growth plans. Key responsibilities include developing and overseeing financial strategies, managing cash flow and liquidity, supervising finance personnel, and providing financial forecasts and reports. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in financial management roles, preferably in a startup environment, and a proven track record as a CFO or in a similar leadership role. A BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required (MSc/MBA preferred). In return, you will receive a competitive salary, the ability to work remotely, unlimited PTO, and paid trips.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in financial management roles; startup experience preferred
- Proven track record as CFO or similar leadership role
- Experience with investment banking, venture capital, and fundraising
- Familiarity with UAE and US corporate financial laws and tax practices
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MSc/MBA preferred)
- Strong expertise in treasury management and financial forecasting
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities
- Excellent knowledge of corporate finance, taxes, and risk management
- Ability to manage and lead in a remote, global setup
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Evaluate economic trends and forecast their impact on the organization
- Identify and execute opportunities for expansion into new product areas
- Lead planning processes, suggesting and implementing improvements
- Direct the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and shareholder reports
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial laws, taxes, and risk management practices across the UAE and the US
- Supervise financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operations and growth
- Oversee treasury functions and investment strategies
- Lead capital-raising initiatives, including engagement with venture capital firms
- Supervise finance personnel, including accountants
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Provide reliable financial forecasts and reports to the executive team
- Analyze operational efficiencies and recommend optimizations
Preferred Qualifications
Background in education or financial industries is a plus
