They are seeking an accomplished strategic leader to serve as their CFO to oversee financial operations, manage budgets, and provide strategic counsel. The ideal candidate should have extensive financial management experience and knowledge of financial planning and reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 10+ years of financial management in a senior leadership capacity; multi-sector experience across public sector, non-profit, and for-profit organizations highly desirable
  • Senior financial management experience with an organization with operations in excess of $ 20 M
  • Extensive knowledge of financial planning and management systems along with accounting and financial reporting procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking skills, with an ability to leverage financial information to drive informed budgetary and financial decisions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with an ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of and experience with management of an investment portfolio
  • Excels in collaborative problem solving and working in a dynamic, agile environment
  • Exercises strong judgment and champions a culture of integrity and excellence
  • Works well with and is responsive to the needs of governance
  • Manages priorities effectively to meet deadlines and demonstrate multitasking skills
  • Possesses a high EQ and the ability to integrate a people-centric approach to decision making

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization
  • Actively manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of WorkMoney
  • Set clear financial strategies and lead long-term financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning
  • Manage investment activity and establish guidelines for WorkMoney’s investment portfolio
  • Lead the preparation of financial forecasts, analyses, and reports
  • Consistently evaluate and enhance financial systems, processes, and practices
  • Effectively communicate and present financial information to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and Finance Committee
  • Lead and develop a small team of talented staff
  • Ensure the accurate and timely production of accounting information and financial reports
  • Monitor changes in legal, regulatory, and administrative environments and implement changes in procedures needed to maintain compliance
  • Serve as the primary liaison with its independent auditor to ensure the annual audit is completed smoothly and in a timely manner
  • Act as a steward of the culture at WorkMoney, modeling the organization’s values
