The Chief of Staff will be the behind-the-scenes team leader, responsible for strategic planning, project management, communication, decision support, team leadership, collaboration, and risk management.

Requirements

  • Passion for advancing the global freedom movement
  • Team management/operations director/managing director/chief of staff experience—with proven track record of success and stellar references—is required
  • Proven experience in a similar role managing teams in public affairs, media, government administrations or political advocacy organizations
  • Experience in planning, leading and managing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working remotely, including exceptional multitasking and organizational skills, with high attention to detail, professionalism under deadline pressure and ability to cross-team collaborate
  • Professional, polished and concise communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client/team relationship management
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the company. Can include some travel, early mornings, and late evenings
  • Excellent knowledge of Basecamp, Apple and GSuite products

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the president and team to develop and implement strategic initiatives and processes (including client campaign strategies, proposals and pitches) ensuring alignment with the company's goals, missions and objectives
  • Project Management: Drive overall strategy and execution of client projects, manage timelines, and ensure that deliverables are met. Collaborate with department heads to implement cross-functional projects to completion. Execute multiple priorities and projects on a daily basis
  • Communication and Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact between the president and the team, including clients, stakeholders, and industry partners. Facilitate communication within the executive team and across the organization
  • Decision Support: Provide analysis and support to the president, and executive team, in decision-making processes while staying informed about industry trends and best practices
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of public affairs professionals. Assist in shaping the organizational strategy to foster a creative and collaborative work environment while ensuring team members are aligned with company goals
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including media relations, content creation, and design, to establish seamless collaboration. Develop strategic client engagement and ensure high quality project deliverables
  • Risk Management: Proactively forecast and manage potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for team leaders. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during project execution
