Summary

Join Natera's Clinical Revenue Cycle team as a Clinical Assistant supporting Genetic Counselors. You will collect follow-up data, liaise with other departments, perform administrative tasks, and assist with billing projects. Responsibilities include data collection, documentation organization, participation in team meetings, clinical documentation review, case building for appeals, database updates, and providing administrative support. You will also aid in developing SOPs and best practices. This role involves regular handling of PHI (Protected Health Information). Successful candidates must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, compliance, and security training within 30 days of hire and maintain current Natera training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2+ years in a professional work environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google mail and Google Documents
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform duties in a remote setting

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data collection for internal projects
  • Organizes documentation and manages spreadsheets
  • Participates in team meetings
  • Reviews cases and gathers appropriate clinical documentation
  • Utilizes templates, clinical data and documentation to build appropriate cases for appeals
  • Update internal databases regarding case development progress
  • Provide administrative support to different teams as needed
  • Assist genetic counselors with ad hoc projects, and provide support to internal stakeholders as needed
  • Aid in the development of SOPs and best practices for necessary projects

Preferred Qualifications

BA/BS in biology, allied health, or a science related field is strongly preferred
