Summary

Join Experian as a Cloud Application Architect & Engineer, leveraging your AWS expertise and healthcare data systems knowledge to design and implement secure, scalable, and compliant cloud-native applications. You will lead the migration and modernization of legacy applications to AWS, optimizing performance and integrating DevOps practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop comprehensive documentation, and prototype new solutions. Stay current with AWS advancements and best practices. This role reports to Experian Health and focuses on Claims Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in software development, cloud architecture, or systems engineering, with significant hands-on experience in AWS environments
  • 5+ years' AWS Technical Proficiency with: Deep expertise with AWS core services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and more
  • Strong programming skills: Python, .NET, Node.js, especially in AWS Lambda or containerized workloads
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration: ECS, EKS, Docker
  • Infrastructure as Code: AWS CloudFormation, Terraform
  • Understanding of AWS networking: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, Direct Connect, VPNs
  • Knowledge of AWS serverless architectures: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, SQS, SNS
  • Database skills: RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Aurora), DynamoDB, ElastiCache
  • Monitoring and logging: CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, CloudTrail, ELK stack

Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, and more
  • Lead migration and refactoring of legacy or on-premises applications to take advantage of AWS-native features (e.g., microservices, serverless, managed services)
  • Monitor and optimize application and infrastructure performance using AWS CloudWatch, Auto Scaling Groups, and Elastic Load Balancers
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and Infrastructure-as-Code with AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and communicate AWS architecture decisions and benefits
  • Develop AWS architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and reference implementations for team enablement
  • Prototype and validate new AWS services and approaches to solve business and technical challenges
  • Stay current with AWS service updates and cloud trends, integrating best practices and innovative features
