Cloud Database Administrator

Summary

Join Unit4 Cloud Ops and become a problem-solver, helping build better solutions for customers. You will use analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve business processing issues and prevent future occurrences. The role involves working with various technologies, including Azure, DevOps, and troubleshooting across infrastructure, virtualization, operating systems, and the application stack. Requirements

• Experience in Windows OS, Active Directory, SQL server, Powershell
• Database Design & Architecture: Schema design, normalization/denormalization, Data partitioning and sharding strategies
• Performance Optimization: Query tuning and indexing
• Experience with database monitoring tools and proactive alerting
• Good knowledge of MS Windows Server monitoring and maintenance
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, JSON, or other scripting languages
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer business processing issues and identify root causes
• Develop and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues
• Utilize structured approaches, tools, and processes for efficient problem-solving
• Employ analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve problems quickly and effectively
• Learn and apply hot skills in the market, such as Azure, DevOps, and troubleshooting across infrastructure, virtualization, operating systems, and the application stack
• Collaborate with a team of experts to enhance professional skills and knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, Microsoft Azure platform, and SQL Server
• Willingness to learn new technologies and practices
• Resourcefulness in searching for information and applying solutions quickly and efficiently
