Summary

We're seeking skilled and enthusiastic Cloud DevOps Engineers to join our team at Graphite, a software company creating a universally computable representation of health data. The role involves automating and streamlining the software delivery process, working closely with the Development team, and troubleshooting production issues. This is a full-time remote position in the USA offering extensive benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience with DevOps tools and technologies
  • Experience in handling Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Terraform or Pulumi
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP including DNS, VPC, IAM, certificates, etc
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Experience managing Linux based infrastructure
  • Experience managing data platforms with Kafka, Flink, Spark, Hudi, Iceberg, Hive, S3, etc is a definite plus
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Go, Rust
  • Knowledge of networking and security principles
  • Strong problem-solving and analytics skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and maintain the infrastructure and tools to automate and streamline our software delivery process
  • Work directly with the Development team to implement DevOps best practices and test system integrity
  • Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
  • Handle code deployments for all environments
  • Monitor and maintain our production environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and lead RCAs
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
  • Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages
  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps technologies
