Summary
Join BeyondTrust as a Cloud Engineer and be responsible for the research, design, implementation, security, and maintenance of our mission-critical global cloud infrastructure. You will manage the day-to-day availability, monitoring, and maintenance of our cloud environment, utilizing your expertise in AWS and Azure. This role requires experience with automation tools and a strong understanding of cloud security and cost optimization. You will collaborate with development teams, investigate configuration issues, and update documentation. Requirements
- Experience operating, securing, and managing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
- Two or more yearsβ experience managing a large cloud environment
- Experience with automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog)
- Proficiency in AWS and Azure
- Scripting in any languages supported by AWS or Azure
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day availability, monitoring, and maintenance of the BeyondTrust cloud infrastructure
- Experience operating, securing, and managing AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
- Development and implementation of methods to configure and audit access delegations and configuration baselines
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Integrating and troubleshooting third party tools and services used for access, management, or auditing of the environment
- Constant review of pricing and service offerings to assist in decisions regarding cloud economics for both monetary and performance purposes
- Frequent discussions with the development teams to determine needs currently not being met and possible future needs
- Constant investigation of the environment for configuration issues and to assist with SIEM rule development
- Awareness of changes to services offered to both add or remove features as needed
- Update process documentation (SOP) - ensure documentation of entire environment is current
- Define and enforce policies to achieve required cloud security, uptime, and availability
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, security, and cost efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- AWS or Azure certifications
- Google Cloud, Oracle, or other cloud providers
