Summary
Join RouteSmart Technologies as a Cloud Engineer and be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving our cloud IT infrastructure. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to optimize and secure product operations. This hybrid or remote position requires 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience and 3+ years with AWS services. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure, services, server systems, and security
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on assignments and initiatives
- Commitment to providing outstanding service and a willingness to learn and grow
- Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or equivalent position in relevant IT positions
- Work experience and proficiency with IT technologies, software, and services
- Solid experience with a wide range of AWS concepts
Responsibilities
- Assist in researching, designing, and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT infrastructure, systems, security components, standards, and services
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to infrastructure, systems, services, security, and accounts
- Continuously monitor the health and performance of the AWS infrastructure, systems, and accounts, identifying issues and implementing solutions for improved efficiency
- Analyze components, logs, services, and specific tools as needed
- Implement, enforce, and configure security policies, controls, services, identity management, and other security measures to protect from unauthorized access and cyber threats
- Stay up-to-date on technology trends and best practices, adapting to evolving cloud IT technologies and management approaches
- Communicate effectively and create accurate documentation of designs, configurations, processes, and procedures
- Collaborate closely with other team members on projects and tasks, ensuring seamless integration and support for IT initiatives
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, scripting, automation tools a plus
