Summary

The role is a Linux and cloud solutions architect position at Canonical. The job involves designing private and public cloud solutions, working hands-on with technologies like Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Python, and providing software engineering support. The ideal candidate has experience in AI/ML, practical knowledge of Linux, virtualization, containers, and networking, sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts, intermediate level of Python programming skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, organizational skills, and follow-up reliability.

Requirements

• Experience in AI/ML and MLOps
• Practical knowledge of Linux, virtualisation, containers and networking
• Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies, such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph, etc
• Intermediate level of Python programming skills
• Dynamic person who loves to jump in new projects and interact with people
• Demonstrated drive for continual learning
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (English, Spanish/French a bonus)
• Great organisational skills and follow-up reliably on commitments
• University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering expertise

Responsibilities

• Work across the entire Linux stack, from kernel, networking, storage, to applications
• Design and deploy clouds and applications for external customers
• Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, Hadoop and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
