Summary
Join Centric Software as their Cloud Operations Director to lead multiple teams of cloud engineers, support strategic cloud infrastructure directions, drive operational delivery, and elevate service quality for 600+ global customers. This role reports to the VP of Quality, Performance, and Cloud Management and offers location flexibility. You will be responsible for all private and public cloud-based hosting solutions, continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining cloud engineering best practices, managing budgets and resources, and providing strong leadership and mentorship. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in public cloud operations, team management, and modern cloud-native platforms. Requirements
- 10+ years in experience in any public cloud operations (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- 5+ years managing, mentoring, motivating, and growing a goal-driven delivery team
- Expert understanding of modern application and database technologies
- Experience designing or operating containers and container management platforms (Rancher preferred)
- Deep experience in operating modern cloud-native platforms focused on infrastructure as code, autoscaling, self-healing etc. w/ heavy reliance on automation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring resources
- Hands-on experience in owning and operating 24x7 with resiliency and scale
- Solid working experience with Unix/Linux Server, Databases (RDBMS, SQL and NoSQL), Search, Containerization and Orchestration technologies
- Bachelorβs Degree in computer science, a similar degree, or equivalent experience

- Cloud Engineering SME with ultimate ownership of all private and public cloud-based hosting solutions
- Continuous Improvement - Driven to lead self, clients, and teams with an appetite to lead modern digital trends and cutting-edge technologies
- Improve and maintain cloud engineering best practices and guidelines
- Manage budget, resourcing, and strategic expenditures to ensure delivery of effective, efficient, and predictable operations
- Provide strong leadership and mentoring including professional and personal development for team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified AWS or Azure solution architect or GCP Cloud Engineer/Architect
- Cloud Spend Optimization
- Experience with Hybrid and Multi-cloud environment - AWS, GCP and Microsoft Azure
- Strong understanding of any programming language
- Experience managing geographically diverse workforce
