Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a support or operations role within financial technology, ideally at a data vendor, index provider, asset manager, or custodian
  • Advanced knowledge of Python for scripting and troubleshooting, especially in financial data contexts
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of investigating anomalies in index values, constituent changes, and rebalance logic
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver responsive, high-level support to clients using our index calculation and dissemination platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve inquiries around index behavior, data feeds, and automation scripts
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability in the daily operation of index production pipelines, including real-time monitoring, validation, and incident resolution
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in Python-based components of the index platform, including data ingestion, transformation, and publishing scripts
  • Maintain high availability of financial systems hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) by implementing proactive monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to communicate client issues, drive root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous platform improvement
  • Develop and maintain internal and client-facing documentation, including SOPs, user guides, and technical FAQs related to index services and cloud deployments
  • Support the onboarding and deployment of custom index solutions, data pipelines, and API integrations for new and existing clients
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and developments in financial indexing, data delivery, and cloud engineering to help improve our offering and support model
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support coverage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with index methodologies, market data types (e.g., equities, commodities, futures, FX), and rules-based investment strategies
  • Experience with financial data APIs and data processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
