  • A positive attitude and professional empathy in high-pressure situations and an optimistic approach to overcoming adversity
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple and varied tasks simultaneously, prioritizing as appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate seamlessly with Procurement and Project Execution team on key agreements with our contractors and suppliers
  • Represent Convergent across from commercial and/or legal counterparties in negotiating contracts
  • Take ownership of the entire contracting life cycle, including negotiation, drafting, review and execution of large contracts with numerous exhibits
  • Develop a well-rounded understanding of Convergent’s contracting priorities, tolerable risk profiles, and go/no-go issues to ensure that projects are financeable
  • Build strong working relationships with outside parties, such as vendors, contractors and account managers to effectively drive results in contract negotiations and execution
  • Ensure all commercial agreements meet legal, financial, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in creating and maintaining contract templates to promote efficient transactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • J.D. or equivalent legal knowledge preferred; however, this is a non-lawyer position, and bar admission is not required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro and proficiency in contract and project management software
