Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role within the mortgage or finance industry
  • Experience in using any of the following: MyCRM, Infynity, Mercury Nexus, Flex, Salestrekker or other CRM Software in the mortgage broking industry
  • Proficient in using financial analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of Commercial or Residential Loans
  • Has a strong understanding of various income streams and is confident in income calculations. for PAYG, Self-employed and company and trust structures
  • Knowledgeable in using lenders' servicing calculators

Responsibilities

  • Analyze creditworthiness of residential & commercial borrowers, including evaluation of financial statements and cash flow projections
  • Assess risks associated with mortgage loan applications, focusing on borrower's financial stability and collateral quality
  • Conduct valuations of collateral assets, including real estate and equipment
  • Evaluate borrowers' business financial statements to determine cash flow sufficiency for debt repayment
  • Consider economic and industry factors affecting borrower's repayment ability, including market trends
  • Collaborate with loan officers to structure loan terms that balance borrower needs and credit risk
  • Ensure compliance with relevant lending regulations
  • Communicate credit decisions and recommendations for improving creditworthiness to stakeholders
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies to manage credit risk effectively
  • Stay informed on commercial real estate market conditions and regulatory changes in lending practices
