Requirements

• 2+ years total experience underwriting in SMB credit, ideally at a fintech but also entrepreneurial folks at larger institutions could be a fit
• Strong understanding of business credit fundamentals, financial statements, etc
• Desire for a steep career trajectory; venture backed startups are an accelerated, sometimes difficult career path that you should be aware of and excited about
• Systems-oriented: Your first instinct is to apply systems, logic, and automation to unsolved problems
• Growth mindset

Responsibilities

• Complete financial analysis, assign risk tiers and spend limits for new applicants and existing portfolio companies
• Identify and drive forward opportunities to automate underwriting
• Discover weaknesses in credit policy and propose alternatives
• Develop new data sources to enhance underwriting accuracy and risk mitigation
• Collaborate closely with sales, customer support, product, and risk operations teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of e-commerce business fundamentals and e-commerce risk management best practices
• Beginner SQL skills, interest in learning more
