Summary
Join Carousell Group as an Associate Manager for Communications and play a pivotal role in shaping consumer PR campaigns across Southeast Asia. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or related field
- 3 to 6 years of experience in corporate communication, public relations, or media relations
- Demonstrated expertise in managing media relationships, crisis communications, and developing communication strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently in hybrid/remote settings with a regional team
- Proficiency in G-Suite, media monitoring tools and basic data analysis
Responsibilities
- Identifying and implementing consumer PR strategies for Carousell in our key 6 markets
- Advising and supporting implementation of consumer PR strategies for other Group brandsβ (e.g. Mudah, REFASH) efforts in any of our key 7 markets
- Acting as a primary point of contact for media queries, including responding to inquiries, coordinating interviews, and managing media relationships
- Monitoring and analysing media coverage to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities for the company
- Drafting and distributing press releases, media alerts, and other communication materials to targeted media outlets
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of messaging across all communication channels
- Managing day-to-day incidents and crisis communications in partnership with the Comms team and senior leaders
- Track and report on key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging communication technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of communication efforts
- Providing support for special projects and events as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bonus for the ability to communicate in traditional Chinese and/or Cantonese
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organisation is a plus
- Has prior experience in one or more of these markets: Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia
