Community Ambassador

Summary

Join GroundBreakers' growing Ambassador network as a remote, unpaid intern! Strengthen your leadership and community engagement skills while supporting a global network of changemakers. Focus on supporting the GroundBreakers Racial Equity Guidebook, centralizing antiracism best practices. This role involves engaging local leaders, participating in fundraising campaigns, contributing blog posts, and collaborating with the Racial Equity Team. The position is open until May 28, 2021. GroundBreakers is a collaborative, fully remote, and inclusive nonprofit.

• Candidates must be self-directed and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Engage and amplify the work of local leaders in your focus areas of interest
• Participate in collaborative team calls with fellow Community Ambassadors to brainstorm and implement fundraising campaigns
• Contribute monthly blog posts to the GroundBreakers media platform
• Collaborate with the Racial Equity Team at GroundBreakers in supporting the Racial Equity Guidebook

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundraising experience, especially with nonprofits
• Prior experience in writing
• Experience with graphic design tools including Canva
• Leadership experience in community organizing and advocacy
