Summary

Join Pennylane, a fast-growing FinTech company, as a freelance training consultant! You will deliver high-quality training modules to accounting firms transitioning to the Pennylane platform. Your responsibilities include designing training plans, conducting sessions (in-person and online), gathering feedback, and adapting training materials. This role requires significant experience in accounting firms, strong pedagogical skills, and digital proficiency. You'll need to be available for at least 8 days a month for training sessions and be comfortable with regional travel. Pennylane offers a flexible, inclusive work environment and values diversity.

Requirements

  • Possess significant experience in an accounting firm, including accounting production, auditing, and preparation of tax returns
  • Be available for at least 8 days per month for training, with the ability to travel within a defined geographical area (approximately 2-3 hours from your home)
  • Communicate your availability three months in advance and be prepared for travel within defined time limits
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and pedagogical skills, interacting empathetically and playfully with learners to facilitate their engagement in digital transformation
  • Be agile in using Pennylane's digital tools, such as Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace, for seamless integration into work processes
  • Have the ability to quickly learn training modules to adapt to changes in training offerings
  • Be comfortable with presentations in person and online, requiring a good internet connection
  • Participate in administrative tasks and product monitoring to stay informed about platform developments, with an investment in Pennylane's vision to create a community of partner trainers

Responsibilities

  • Integrate into your team and familiarize yourself with the work environment
  • Learn about the company, its vision, and different departments
  • Train on the product and accounting management through e-learning modules
  • Shadow experienced team members to learn the tasks smoothly
  • Guide your first clients through live training sessions or pre-scheduled webinars
  • Gather, identify, and analyze training needs
  • Design and implement a training plan, preparing the necessary materials
  • Work closely with the Account Manager in charge of the account
  • Facilitate a group (5 people and more) by transmitting your knowledge of the platform to allow new users to acquire and update their skills
  • Understand learners' requests and reformulate their needs
  • Demonstrate adaptability and pedagogy
  • Ensure follow-up of the training plan
  • Provide users with a questionnaire to collect their feedback
  • Evaluate the trained individuals (and therefore the success rate of your module)
  • Adjust the content of the training based on the feedback collected and the success rate of the module
  • Transmit all necessary information to the Account Manager so that they can take over and follow up with the client in the long term
  • Become a technical expert and improve your team's efficiency by identifying areas for improvement
  • Train increasingly strategic clients
  • Take ownership and lead successful projects that interest you and help you progress
  • As the team grows, you will have opportunities to evolve towards technical leadership or team mentoring/management
