Consultant Network & Security

Summary

Join our Digital Product Engineering company as a Network Consultant and manage all physical and virtual connections for customer and internal systems. You will play a key role in our security measures, handling system segmentation and protection against unwanted access. Responsibilities include planning and executing network activities such as firewall administration, IPSEC VPN management, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. We utilize CheckPoint, Juniper SRX, Cisco ACI, Arista, and other leading technologies. This role requires an IT apprenticeship or informatics degree, professional network/security experience, and fluency in German and English.

Requirements

• You have an apprenticeship as an IT specialist or a degree in informatics
• You have professional experience as a network or security specialist (m/f/d)
• You have relevant knowledge in one or more similar solutions and are interested in working with the following products or technologies: Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Arista, Juniper SRX, Checkpoint ClusterXL, Checkpoint VSX, Citrix ADC, IPSEC, BGP, OSPF, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Python, CheckMK, IBM qRadar
• You are fluent in German (min. B2) and English (B2)

Responsibilities

• Manage all physical and virtual connections that connect both customer and internal systems
• Handle the segmentation of customer and internal systems and protect them against unwanted access
• Plan and execute network activities: Firewall administration and updates
• Firewall ports opening
• IPSEC VPNs phase-in / phase-out
• Day-to-day business: service requests and incident tickets
• Loss of connectivity troubleshooting
