Join Ramboll's Global Impact Assessment Service Line as a Sustainable Finance Senior Consultant/Social Specialist. Based in France with flexible/remote work options, you will contribute to innovative environmental, social, and sustainability solutions for international development projects. Leveraging your expertise in environmental and social due diligence (ESDD) and impact assessment (ESIA), you will provide technical input, manage projects, support site audits, and contribute to business development. Success in this role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in social aspects of international standards, and relevant experience in consultancy. Requirements

  • Strong project management skills including project financial management
  • Technical expertise in social aspects of the international standards : labour and working conditions, occupational health and safety, human rights, supply chain social assessments, resettlement, livelihood restoration, cultural heritage etc
  • A Bachelor/Master degree in a relevant environmental and/or social discipline
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Good presentation and technical report writing skills in both French and English
  • Ability to work independently as necessary and collaboratively with a range of environmental, social and engineering technical specialists
  • Practical experience of the implementation of international lender E&S standards, including the IFC Performance Standards, the Equator Principles and the OECD Common Approaches (at least 5 years’ experience in this field)
  • Experience in consultancy from 5 to 15 years
  • Must be fluent in English and French, plus other languages would be advantageous
  • Flexibility to undertake short duration international field visits is essential
  • Residency and eligibility to work in France (i.e., existing work visa if not an EU citizen)

Responsibilities

  • Technical input and delivery, including report writing and internal reviews, on a range of Independent Environmental & Social Consultant (IESC) projects for environmental and social due diligence (ESDD) and impact assessment (ESIA)
  • Project managing small to large-scale IESC ESDD projects or ESIA projects
  • Support world-wide site audits and monitoring visits as part of IESC ESDD
  • Support on proposal management and writing
  • Support the implementation of the Sustainable Finance business development plan
  • Successfully support a number of E&S due diligence assessments on behalf of lenders
  • Successfully support a number of E&S impact assessments on behalf of borrowers/sponsors to meeting international standards
  • Support development of a number of proposals
  • Provide active support to the Business Development plan and the development of existing and new clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the EU Taxonomy is a bonus
  • Driver’s licence is desirable
