Join Khan Academy India's Content Team as a Biology Content Creator! This 1-year full-time contract position (with potential extension) focuses on creating syllabus-aligned videos and practice questions for grades 6-10. You will develop unit plans, review existing content, and collaborate with teachers. The role requires significant experience in teaching and educational content creation, impeccable written communication, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. Requirements

• Have a combined 4+ years of experience in teaching and creating educational content for Biology
• Possess impeccable written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create syllabus-aligned unit plans for Science 6th-10th
• Review existing content wherever necessary
• Create practice questions and videos
• Remake US English accent videos to make them more suitable for Indian viewers
• Collaborate with state teachers to create project plans that align with their curriculum
• Stay up-to-date with the state's academic plans and strategically incorporate ongoing needs during the academic year
• Travel with the team and conduct workshops where feedback on content is gathered
• Continuously iterate and improve content based on feedback received
• Be willing to travel (Usually about once in three months, for about 2 to 3 days)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Telangana Science curriculum
• Be a quick learner
• Have the ability to timebox effortlessly
• Possess a ‘shipping beats perfection’ mindset
• Be proactive and ask clarifying questions, provide status updates, loop in your manager when things aren't going your way
• Have an entrepreneurial mindset, including a high tolerance for ambiguity, a penchant for experimentation, and a bias toward action
• Be willing to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we grow
• Be passionate about education and strongly desire to change the world for the better
