Content Designer

Summary

Join Stripe's Optimized Checkout Suite product team as a Content Designer and shape the strategic direction of high-impact projects. You will craft clear and actionable interface copy, collaborating with designers, researchers, and engineers. This role involves leading content discovery, delivering recommendations to stakeholders, shaping interaction flows, and facilitating content critiques. You will also create and maintain style guides. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a content designer, UX writer, or content strategist and excels at translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly language. Experience with financial products or regulated industries is preferred.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as a content designer, UX writer, or content strategist
• Embraces the highly technical nature of Stripe and our products, and translates complex concepts into clear, intuitive language
• Comfortable designing content across surfaces and channels, including web, email, and product interfaces
• Thinks in systems and is comfortable driving large-scale information architecture projects
• Writes using best practices for inclusivity and accessibility to reach users worldwide

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, risk strategists, and engineers to deliver end-to-end experiences that guide users to build high-quality integrations
• Lead content discovery and planning, ensuring the right activities are prioritized to uncover users’ content needs
• Deliver recommendations and solutions to a diverse set of partners and stakeholders, including audit findings, concept models, content requirements, etc
• Shape (and scribe) interaction flows, navigation schemes, and other microcopy
• Facilitate content critiques and workshops, advise partners on content execution, and create tools and templates to enable others to create their own great content
• Create, maintain, and implement style guides and shared nomenclature across Stripe
