Content Engineer

Stedi
Summary
Join Stedi, a healthcare clearinghouse building the world’s only API-first platform, as their first Content Engineer. You will be responsible for creating high-quality, technically-oriented content (blog posts, reference implementations, etc.) using AI tools to address customer needs and drive business growth. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent writing skills, and a passion for leveraging AI in content creation. You will work closely with various teams to prioritize content topics, measure effectiveness, and contribute to Stedi's success. The ideal candidate is a builder, fast-paced, customer-focused, comfortable publishing content, and excited about pushing the limits of AI-generated content. While healthcare experience is not required, enthusiasm for solving healthcare industry problems is a plus.
Requirements
- You are, first and foremost, a builder. You love to design, build, and scale systems that work. You love using and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies to get more done with less
- You are technical. You have either a college degree in Computer Science or several years of hands-on experience as a software developer
- You are very fast. You believe that given your experience with the latest AI tools, novel, interesting content can often be written in a (long) day or less
- You are the voice of the customer. You have a knack for identifying what matters to customers, and what they want to read and learn. You love storytelling and evangelizing products
- You are comfortable publishing content. You are comfortable pushing content out through blogs, changelogs, social channels, and directly to customers
- You are excited to push the limits of AI-generated content. You are not interested in churning out SEO rich content that no one wants to read; you’d rather focus on using technology and intuition to create market research and write compelling technical content that customers want to read. You understand that “engineering as marketing” is the way to appeal to our audience
- You do what it takes to get the job done. You are resourceful, self-motivating, self-disciplined, and don’t wait to be told what to do. You can manage your own pipeline of work and can set your own priorities. You put in the hours
- You move quickly. We move quickly as an organization. This requires an ability to match our pace and not get lost by responding with urgency (both externally to payers and internally to stakeholders), communicating what you are working on, and proactively asking for help or feedback when you need it
- You are a “bottom feeder”. You thrive on the details. No task is too small in order to find success, generate revenue, and improve our outcomes
Responsibilities
- Create a queue of relevant content that customers and prospects want to read
- Work with the rest of the team to prioritize these topics based on criteria like relevance, frequency of inquiry, SEO value, and of course, intuition
- Draft content using AI and manual input/editing until it is first-rate and hyper-relevant
- Once the content is approved, push it to various channels, including the blog, changelog, website, and social channels like email, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Measure the efficacy of your strategies by focusing on the outputs that matter: inbound contact us requests, self-service Sandbox signups, blog subscriptions, and qualified page views
Preferred Qualifications
You are interested in healthcare. While a background in healthcare is not required for this role, you are excited about solving many of the root problems that exist in the healthcare industry in order to produce better outcomes for providers, payers, and patients
