Content Strategist

Summary

Join Reddit's curation team as a remote-friendly Content Curator focusing on India and neighboring countries. Based in the UK, you will map Reddit's content, identifying relationships between subreddits and posts based on cultural context and trends. You will create categories and labels to improve Reddit's content understanding and machine learning recommendations. This role requires weekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays) with two weekdays off at your discretion. You will partner with the India Content Lead to implement content strategy and ensure accurate labeling according to guidelines. Your passion for Reddit, internet culture, and deep knowledge of Indian culture are essential.

Requirements

• Native language proficiency and cultural knowledge of India
• Experience with investigating, reviewing, or assessing digital content
• Deep knowledge of and passion for Reddit, internet culture and online trends
• Strong understanding of news, sports, cinema, business and cultural events

Responsibilities

• Partner with India Content Lead to implement content strategy
• Drive Reddit’s understanding of different communities, content and audiences in India and APAC
• Understand policy and labeling guidelines and execute accurate labels based on those guidelines
• Content labeling (maintaining the accuracy and coverage of our community topics and ratings)
• QA of Machine Learning results and creation of data-sets for Machine Learning training
• Identifying common patterns in datasets and document insights based on labeling observations

Preferred Qualifications

• Language capabilities in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and Kannada
• Experience as a successful content creator/curator/social media manager for TikTok/YouTube/Instagram
• Experience as a moderator on Reddit
