Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant legal education
  • 5-10 years of contracts related legal experience (experience with SaaS and technology contracts preferred)
  • Significant experience with Salesforce.com or other contract management or database systems
  • Experience with administering DocuSign or similar e-signature platform
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to issue spot and escalate to appropriate internal subject matter experts
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage large workload, focus on critical priorities, and otherwise effectively meet internal legal needs and deadlines directly
  • Proven ability to build relationships across functions, build followership and inspire trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/projects
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) with an ability to communicate legal issues in a clear and understandable manner
  • A strong sense of professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist end-to-end with the sales contracting process, including contract drafting and review, negotiation, signature and contract management
  • Serve as a main point of contact for certain business stakeholders across the organization and sales department, including contract negotiations that involve redlining and customer facing communications
  • Help manage the queue of pending contract review requests
  • Assist in maintaining and updating a library of standard documents, contract clauses, and templates relevant to the commercial contract process
  • Assist with maintaining and expanding the functionality of contract databases
  • Assist with other department needs such as sales onboarding for new customers, colleagues in Finance, and assist in special legal and other projects as they arise from time to time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with healthcare data is preferred
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with contract drafting experience in a [healthcare industry] setting who possess an understanding of commercial transactions and legal issues relevant to the healthcare data industry, such as data privacy
  • Familiarity with reseller and data syndication relationships preferred
  • Enthusiasm learning new subject matters, and self-starter qualities, and ability to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency
