Summary

The job description is for a DCAA Controller with experience in the government contracting industry who will maintain a DCAA compliant accounting system, prepare financial reports, and ensure proper internal control policies. The candidate should have experience with Deltek Costpoint and DCAA compliance, and preferably with ADP Workforce Now and a BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Requirements

  • Must have government contracting industry experience
  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of federal contracts, full accrual accounting and working knowledge of FAR & DCAA compliance requirements
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 3+ years of DCAA and financial management experience in the federal marketplace
  • 1+ years hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with developing and submitting PBR's
  • 2+ years hands-on experience processing and submitting ICE reports to DCAA
  • Hands-on experience with CPFF/Cost Plus Contracts
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel - pivot tables, formulas
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail, organization, time management and a self-starter
  • Experience with hands on accounting with small to medium size businesses and ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a DCAA Compliant accounting system and preparing Incurred Cost Submissions for DCAA submission
  • Implementing perfected internal process and controls to eliminate risk
  • Responsible for project setup and proper revenue recognition for multiple contract types
  • Prepare Incurred Cost Submission on a timely basis to be submitted to DCAA
  • Prepare invoices and supporting schedules as required by the government clients
  • Reconcile unbilled receivables on a monthly basis
  • Supporting all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/billing, collections, accounts payable, financial reporting and analysis, policy and procedures, and GAAP, FAR, compliance
  • Perform secondary review of expense report accounts payable vouchers ensuring FAR compliance
  • Supporting month-end and annual general ledger close process
  • Supporting year-end financial audit process, including interaction/correspondence with external auditors
  • Responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial statements, including preparation of consolidation
