Summary

Join DuploCloud as a Controller and oversee the financial operations of our SaaS organization. You will manage accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial planning, supporting our growth and scalability. This role requires expertise in AWS and GCP billing, SaaS metrics, and subscription billing. You will develop robust processes, ensure compliance with ASC 606, and collaborate with various teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a SaaS environment
  • Expertise in AWS Marketplace billing and cloud cost management, including cost allocation and optimization
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, subscription billing, and deferred revenue
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks and Bill.com)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Develop robust processes for tracking and reconciling AWS MP and GCP billing
  • Manage Salesforce billing, including subscription tracking, user licensing, and usage-based expenses
  • Establish controls and governance frameworks for managing and auditing cloud billing processes
  • Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to forecast cloud costs and optimize resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, particularly for subscription-based revenue
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align contract terms with revenue policies
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and prepared
  • Maintain compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements
  • Monitor financial performance metrics, including variances, and recommend adjustments to improve profitability
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize financial systems, workflows, and controls
  • Provide insights into SaaS-specific KPIs such as ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, and LTV to guide strategic decisions
