Conversational Designer/Engineer

Requirements

• Excellent command of English (native or near-native proficiency)
• Background in linguistics, language teaching, copywriting, or a related field
• Strong critical thinking skills (65% or higher in standardized assessments)
• High cognitive ability
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technical tools and platforms
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating user-centric conversational experiences

Responsibilities

• Design conversational flows and dialog structures for chatbots, ensuring a natural and intuitive user experience
• Provide examples of phrases and responses that users might say and how the bot should respond
• Define user paths, decision trees, and potential continuations in conversations
• Collaborate with the client’s team to integrate conversational designs into their platform
• Continuously refine and optimize chatbot interactions based on user feedback and testing results
• Work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure the technical feasibility of designs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in conversational design, UX writing, or chatbot development
• Familiarity with AI platforms or chatbot tools
• Experience working with US-based clients or in an international environment
• 5 + years in language teaching, copywriting, or technical writing
• Experience living or working abroad, particularly in English-speaking countries
