Summary

Join Construct Education as a Quality Control Specialist in Cape Town for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role (Mondays and Thursdays in the office, other days remote) requires a dynamic individual with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality content. You will review and edit content, perform full QC checks on courses, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and functionality. Experience in copy editing, proofreading, and knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) are essential. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also needed. Requirements

• Copy editing and/or proofreading experience
• Advanced spelling and grammar expertise in the English language
• Exceptional attention to detail is essential
• Be comfortable working on different platforms and with a variety of online tools
• Time management and ability to adhere to deadlines are essential
• Knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG)
• Experience working with different style guides, primarily APA and Oxford
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and simply
• Experience working with remote teams
• Able to collaborate with different members across different departments
• Self-directed and capable of working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Review/edit content at different stages of the development process
• Do a full QC of a course on the platform – checking not only for errors and inconsistencies, but also reviewing the functionality of a site/course before final sign-off

Preferred Qualifications

• Digital education experience is a bonus
• Additional focused training in editing/advanced grammar is advantageous
• Knowledge of eLearning platforms is advantageous
