Join our team as a Copywriter and be the voice of our brand! This remote contract position offers a total of 80 hours of work, likely spread over 1-3 months, with an hourly rate of $70. You will craft clear, compelling copy for various marketing materials. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a copywriter in advertising, marketing, or a creative agency and a strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing styles. Familiarity with local government and public works is a plus. Benefits are available. This is a W2 engagement and a background check is required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a copywriter in advertising, marketing, or a creative agency
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of writing styles and tones
• Exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
• A passion for storytelling and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear copy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams

Responsibilities

• Write engaging copy for websites, ads, social media, and other marketing materials
• Complete 3 known Copywriting projects for the team with potential extension/expansion depending on needs
• Collaborate with art directors/designers to bring creative concepts to life
• Develop clear & concise messaging that informs, persuades, and inspires action
• Present copy concepts/scripts & secure client buy-in with confidence
• Stay informed on current marketing trends and content best practices
