Summary

Join Figma's growing team as Corporate Counsel and help develop the company's corporate and securities legal strategy. This full-time role, based in a US hub or remotely, ensures Figma's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include leading SEC filings, reviewing earnings materials, building legal processes, partnering with stakeholders, managing outside counsel, and leading special projects. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of legal experience at a top-tier law firm and in-house legal department, deep knowledge of corporate and securities laws, and excellent interpersonal skills. Requirements

  • 5+ years of legal experience at a top tier law firm and in-house legal department; you should have a J.D. and be a current member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
  • Deep knowledge of corporate and securities laws and SEC reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and business judgment; an ability to distill complex issues and concisely explain why it matters
  • Proactive, driven, and adaptable; you should be able to prioritize and balance multiple projects, path-find, and recalibrate advice in view of shifting priorities, legal developments, and risk tolerance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Company remains compliant with all applicable corporate and securities laws and regulations, including potential future SEC requirements
  • Lead the preparation of SEC filings
  • Support review of earnings related materials, including earnings releases, presentations, and other public-facing corporate communications
  • Build and maintain processes and infrastructure, such as playbooks, templates, metrics, and self-serve tools, to help scale the legal function
  • Partner with other critical stakeholders across accounting, finance, people and communications
  • Support the management of outside counsel on various matters, as needed
  • Support and lead special projects as requested
