Join GoDaddy's global litigation team as a Senior Counsel β Global Litigation. This remote position involves significant litigation responsibilities, including managing a diverse docket of domestic and international disputes, advising on litigation risks, and proactively mitigating potential risks. You will manage outside counsel, develop global litigation strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires a J.D. from an accredited law school, bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and 6+ years of litigation experience. Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 6+ years of litigation experience in private practice and/or an in-house corporate litigation department
- Significant litigation experience, including managing teams handling complex litigation and trial experience
- Strong decision-making and business advisory experience
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- The ability to anticipate risks and develop proactive, pragmatic solutions
Responsibilities
- Serve as a legal partner and trusted advisor to the Sr. Director, Sr. Counsel - Litigation on global litigation risk across all business areas
- Help manage GoDaddyβs global litigation docket, including selecting and directing external counsel within agreed policies and budget and driving day-to-day strategies on certain matters
- Help develop and implement a cohesive global litigation strategy aligned with business objectives while adapting to local legal variances
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on litigation risk assessment in M&A transactions, product development, and strategy initiatives
- Partner with public policy and public relations teams on litigation-related matters and risk mitigation strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in technology, particularly internet, domain registrar and web hosting industry-related litigation
- Experience in a multinational public technology company
