Summary

Join our team and provide confidential counseling and support services to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) employees through our Employee Assistance Program. This planned initiative offers remote and virtual delivery of mental health, substance abuse, and workplace concern services. As a Counselor, you will conduct assessments, provide short-term counseling, make referrals, and follow up with clients. You will also handle intake procedures, maintain case notes, and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations. This role requires 24/7 availability for emergency counseling needs and working with diverse employee populations across NRC regions.

Requirements

  • Master’s in clinical mental health field
  • Active state license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist)
  • Competence in substance abuse assessment
  • Experience with workplace behavioral health

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, short-term counseling, referral, and follow-up
  • Conduct intake and obtain signed Statement of Understanding
  • Maintain case notes and compliance with confidentiality regulations
  • Respond to emergency counseling needs 24/7
  • Work with diverse employee populations across NRC regions
