Requirements

  • Experienced Design professional with qualifications in graphic design, branding, and digital design
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in managing a creative team of designers, creatives, content creators
  • Experience of development, objective setting and performance management
  • Experience of working within a global business
  • Experience working within a design team for a fast-paced, high volume online business, delivering high quality creative assets
  • Puts the brand and customer at the heart of the design development process
  • Ability to control and manage to tight deadlines to ensure the timely delivery of daily, seasonal, and project works
  • Establishment of best practice processes- review, evaluation and definition
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
  • Experience of the end-to-end design process from concept, UI, HTML and build
  • Basic understanding and familiarity of HTML and digital web design tools (Figma)
  • A creative thinker and idea generator with a strong creative eye
  • A passion and understanding of branding and design
  • Great team player with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Numerate
  • Experience in managing third-party agencies to deliver results
  • Solid project management skills with a positive influential personality
  • Experience of working with task management tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Doc’s, Asana, etc

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the Brand and creative strategy for BINANCE Design
  • Help bring the overall creative direction to life through working with designers, editors, and animators
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day creative work, brand and product campaigns, global, local, external vendor collaborations, motion, partnerships
  • Partner with other Business Units to lead briefs and projects from a creative point of view
  • Ensure the timely delivery of creative design in-line with business goals and brand objectives
  • Deliver compelling and differentiating 'on brand' creative for daily, weekly and seasonal brand, tactical and partnership campaigns
  • Be accountable for the quality of design outputs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Support the acquisition and retention teams by ensuring the creation and delivery of effective and cost-efficient brand design campaigns
  • Learn from the performance of campaigns to continually improve and innovate
  • Devise, propose and deliver a plan for creative asset creation, including graphics and motion design
  • Review and optimize all BINANCE creative on an ongoing basis
  • Innovate and maintain up-to-date knowledge of crypto, competitor landscape, branding and design trends and art direction
  • Work with the Creative Director, Creative Operations Lead and wider Global Marketing, Product Marketing and Social Media teams to define and control 'creative team' processes
  • Deputise for the Global Creative Director and cascade management reporting to the creative team
  • Work closely with Global and Local Marketing partners, ensuring a consistent and optimised approach to all activity
  • Help report, control and monitor the Creative Design budget
  • Collaborate with the Brand Design Lead to produce ‘best in class’ style-guides and requirements for branding, design, photography, motion, illustration
  • Manage on a day-to-day basis the designers and freelance design resources
  • Set performance objectives for the designers and perform performance reviews in line with business timelines
  • Develop the designers, identifying development needs and training opportunities to ensure that the design team is operating optimally
  • Build strong relationships with external suppliers
  • Ensure appropriate freelance resources are available when required
  • Control, manage, coach and motivate the Designers
  • Implement the Global Creative Director succession plans
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with other teams and business functions to help facilitate the BINANCE vision
