Summary

Join Airbnb's Advertising team as a Creative Director in Design and champion design excellence across all advertising communications. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including visual designers, copywriters, and UX designers, to create world-class communications. Execute innovative platform ideas, provide constructive feedback, and partner with external agencies. Ensure brand consistency and work with production teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. This remote US-based role requires a strong portfolio and 12+ years of experience in a creative agency or in-house at a leading brand.

Requirements

  • 12+ years experience overall within a creative agency or in-house at a leading brand
  • A diverse portfolio of integrated and innovative communications work
  • A passion for the craft of their discipline, and for being hands-on with teams and the work
  • Sharp attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to refining every project
  • Strong presentation skills, with an ability to convey complex concepts in compellingly simple terms
  • Skilled in multitasking to manage a high volume of creativity and content
  • Incredible organization, communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • A willingness to collaborate and debate with strong creative thinkers, at all levels, in all corners of the company—from junior creatives to business leads to the CEO
  • Strategic + Systems based thinking – your work is built upon insights and systems, not simply creative whims
  • A current portfolio of work is required for each applicant

Responsibilities

  • Champion the craft of design and visual storytelling, and help elevate them throughout the department’s output
  • Work in close collaboration with a team of creatives from across disciplines: visual design, copywriting, UX design, art direction, motion graphics and interactive
  • Inspire, generate, and execute world-class communications – from strategy and concept to point and pixel perfect artwork
  • Provide constructive feedback to peers and more junior team members
  • Partner with external creative and production agencies to execute work that is of the highest quality and consistency
  • Partner with the Brand team to ensure the brand’s creative direction is consistent across all communications
  • Partner with the Production and Program Management teams to achieve the finished product on time and on budget
