Requirements
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
- Possess at least 6 years of professional experience as a Credit Analyst, ideally within corporate finance or consulting
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment
- Be fluent in German, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Show proficiency in using financial analysis software and tools
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to gauge the likelihood of repayment and identify potential credit risks
- Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for credit limits and terms
- Perform in-depth analysis of clients' financial health, focusing on liquidity, profitability, and cash flow
- Regularly monitor and review clients' financial performance to detect any changes in credit risk
- Make informed credit decisions and present findings to senior management and stakeholders
- Prepare and present regular reports, highlighting key trends, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment on credit policies and decisions
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders in German to gather necessary information and explain credit decisions
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate credit risk and protect company assets
