Summary
Join Xometry's Finance team as an experienced Credit Manager! You will develop and implement credit policies, assess customer creditworthiness, and manage credit risk to support company growth. This role involves leading credit evaluations, analyzing financial data, negotiating payment terms, and collaborating with sales and collections teams. You will also oversee credit insurance, prepare reports, and manage the credit team. The ideal candidate possesses extensive B2B credit management experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. Manufacturing industry experience and NACM certification are preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of credit management experience in a B2B environment
- Strong understanding of financial statements and credit analysis
- Experience with credit risk assessment tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of commercial credit laws and regulations
- Proven track record of managing credit risk while supporting sales growth
- Experience with ERP systems and credit management software
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
- Team leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures that align with company risk tolerance and growth objectives
- Lead the evaluation of new customer credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of customer creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports, and industry data
- Manage ongoing review of existing customer accounts and adjust credit terms based on payment history and financial stability
- Monitor and analyze portfolio credit risk metrics to identify trends and potential issues
- Negotiate payment terms and credit limits with customers while maintaining positive relationships
- Collaborate with Sales and Collections teams to optimize credit decisions and resolve customer issues
- Oversee credit insurance program and manage relationship with credit insurance providers
- Prepare regular reports on credit portfolio performance for senior management
- Lead special projects related to credit risk management and process improvement
- Manage and develop credit team members
- Establish and maintain relationships with external credit reporting agencies and financial institutions
- Review and approve credit hold releases based on established criteria
- Monitor industry trends and economic conditions that may impact customer creditworthiness
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry experience
- NACM certification (CCE, CICP, or similar)
